Godfreyb Ssekajja is a Visiting Professor at Wellesley College. He has previously lectured at the University of Chicago, Franklin College, and Indiana University Bloomington. He received a Ph.D. in Public Policy at Indiana University Bloomington (School of Public & Environmental Affairs and Dept. of PoliSci) in 2022, and a Master's degree in International Development at the University of Pittsburgh in 2016. He is affiliated with the Ostrom Workshop and he is a fellow at the Mercatus Center (George Mason University) and at the Earth System Governance Project.

He studies institutions for public goods and natural resource management and the causes and effects of migration and demographic diversity. Methodologically, he often prioritizes a mixed-methods approach, which is largely inspired by his extensive training at Indiana University’s Ostrom Workshop. His research has been published in journals, such as World Development, the Journal of Development Studies, Ethnicities, and the International Journal of the Commons.

He is a recipient of numerous awards, including the 2021 Ostrom Workshop Award and the 2018 Tobias Center Award.
