Godfreyb Ssekajja is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of Charleston, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the Master of Public Administration and Environmental and Sustainability Studies programs and the Political Science department. He has previously held academic positions at several institutions including the University of Chicago and Wellesley College. He earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Pittsburgh.

His research largely focuses on institutional processes and environmental management, often employing a mixed-methods approach inspired by his extensive training at Indiana University’s Ostrom Workshop. His research has been published in Global Environmental Change, Journal of Environmental Management, World Development, the Journal of Development Studies, Ethnicities, and the International Journal of the Commons.
